Marion is a Filipino pop singer-songwriter/producer who offers a new and unique “international” sound. She started out in the music industry when she joined Himig Handog 2013 with her original song, “If You Ever Change Your Mind” and won 2nd runner up. She then launched her self-titled debut album “Marion Aunor” the same year. Her sound ranges from pop, jazz, and now with some electronic elements in her 2nd album called “MARION”. Her hit songs include "Free Fall Into Love", "Pumapag-ibig", "I Love You Always Forever", "How Can I", and "Closer You and I". In 2017, she crossed over to EDM with her latest single called, "Electric Gold." She sometimes performs with a piano or a looper.
This artist is the recipient of 2 Awit Awards ("Best Performance by a New Female Recording Artist", 2014 and "Best Pop Recording", 2016) and 2 PMPC Star Awards ("New Female Recording Artist of the Year", 2014 and "Female Pop Artist of the Year" 2016). She has also received a total of 12 Awit Award nominations in the four years she has spent in the Philippine music industry. She is also a member of The Recording Academy aka the GRAMMYs.
Her music has been featured as theme songs and as part of the official soundtracks of blockbuster movies such as "Ex With Benefits", "Always Be My Maybe", "Achy Breaky Hearts", "Extra Service" and has also been used as TV station IDs and TV series soundtracks. You may have also heard her voice in several commercial jingles including Nescafe, McDonalds, and Zonrox to name a few.
She has also performed as front act for international singer-songwriter Carly Rae Jepsen at the Araneta Coliseum as well as Anne Marie. Other than the Philippines, she has also toured her music in the US, Canada, Dubai, and Germany.
Currently, she continues to release singles, music videos, and is also building up her repertoire as a songwriter for other artists. So far she has written for Filipino icons such as Jona (Jonalyn Viray), Erik Santos, Kathryn Bernardo, Alex Gonzaga, Ylona Garcia, Rayver Cruz, and Boyband PH.
As a producer, her current project is Leila Alcasid's debut album.
She has also hosted awards shows, acted in indie films, and was even nominated by the Philippine Movie Press Club as New Movie Actress of the Year.
